LOCAL COUPLE DONATES $5M TO LONG BEACH MEDICAL CENTER

Hing and Doris Hung, 5 million dollar donors

With a generous ‘pay it forward’ concept, Cerritos, CA, couple Hing and Doris Hung recently provided a $5 million dollar gift helping to fund the c|a ARCHITECTS-designed Hybrid Operating Room at MemorialCare Medical Center Long Beach. The Hybrid OR is just one of the facility’s goals of providing state of the art surgical services as a part of a complete continuum of cardiovascular care.

The notable donation for the Hybrid OR is not the Hungs’ first to the hospital. Past gifts helped build the Cherese Mari Laulhere Children’s Village, which opened last year, a consultation room at the Todd Cancer Institute and renovations to the catheterization laboratory at the MemorialCare Heart & Vascular Institute. Each of these critical projects coincidentally are c|a ARCHITECTS’ designed projects as well.

The Hung’s philanthropic partnership with the hospital, together with c|a ARCHITECTS’ contribution of medical design expertise, combine to create meaningful architecture and inspire wellness.
